Brown plans to major in International Studies with a focus on Economies & Politics of Western Europe; especially Germany. She also plans to Minor in German. She chose Germany because of it's economic stability. Though she doesn't wish to live permanently in the country, she sees no harm in traveling to and from. After college she hopes to land a job with a major marketing company with connections to European countries. She's visited Ole Miss before & you can tell they've had her hooked from the beginning.

Senior takes flight

Many people have plans to go to college after school, but one senior plans to serve his country. Ike Heinemann will be going to The United States Naval Academy in Maryland. "I want to get an engineering degree of some kind and be a fighter pilot." The process to get into this school started last year. "I had to get a nomination from a US Senator or a US Congressman and I got one from both." Candidates had to run five miles every morning, take countless physical and mental tests, and take part in multiple interviews. "It was a lot of waiting for the government to back with us. We finally heard back in January that I had been accepted," he said. Heinemann plans to eventually retire from the military and become a FedEx pilot. "Whether you agree with all of it's [the United States of America] policies and stuff or not it has given us a lot of opportunities and freedom so I have always wanted to pay it back."

New Orleans welcomes Spanos

Alexia Spanos has chosen to enter the collegiate world by attending Tulane University. Located below sea level, she's chosen this college solely based upon New Orleans food (beignets) and the interesting cultural background this proud city has. She expects to major in pre-law on account of her experience this year in her AP Government class taught by Traci Smith. Spanos likes the opportunities Tulane offers with their diverse courses available. We wish Alexia luck as she journeys to the Big Easy.
